“Open Letter From Ron Dart's Niece” ~ January 8, 2019

Hello Mr. White,
I am a blood relative niece of Ronald L. Dart and the administrator of his will. My name is Jamie Bozarth. I am writing this because I have read what you have posted and some of the responses. There are a few things that are not being said that I feel need to be said. First, I would like to begin with talking about my aunt and uncle. They, Allie and Ronald Dart, were two of the most caring, giving, and loving people I knew. Uncle Ronnie and I talked about religion and even though I was not of the same faith he never chastised me for it. He listened to what I had to say and would ask me questions. We shared our different views and beliefs and that did not make him distance himself from me.
After my uncle fell and hit his head a person associated with CEM called and told me that my aunt did not want us to come back up to the hospital. We were there earlier in the day and I had to take my father and sister back to Houston and was going to turn around and head right back to Tyler. This person that called me told me that under no circumstances were we to return to the hospital. Later I talked to my aunt, I did not tell her immediately because she had enough on her mind, she denied ever saying that she did not want any of us back up there. Later, Uncle Ronnie told me that this same CEM member was “an opportunity looking for a place to happen and he found it at CEM.”
Aunt B, Allie, continued with the ministry until my uncle passed away. She told me how the board was treating her and how they did a hostile takeover of the ministry after Ron's accident. Uncle Ronnie had told me that when he was no longer able to perform his duties to the ministry or upon his death, Aunt B was to take over. This aggression and takeover went against what he wanted for this ministry. He would be appalled by the treatment she received upon his death.
I knew when the ministry began and why it began. My aunt and uncle worked diligently to make this ministry a success. They wanted to get the word out to everyone about the Lord. What CEM is today is not what it was to begin with and without the guidance of the Darts the ministry does not appear to be heading in the direction it was originally intended to be. My aunt and uncle would not approve of how the board is making decisions and using those decisions against its own parishioners. (More about that in a bit)
It is my honest opinion that CEM does plan on merging with CGI and I know that is not what my uncle wanted. He broke away from there for very good reasons. The establishment of CEM was designed to be independent of other organizations and I cry when I know that this is not happening and that the name of two people are wrongfully being drug through the mud. (More on this in a bit too)
As soon as my aunt passed CEM sent a request wanting to know when they could get the deeds to all of the properties my aunt and uncle owned. Upon talking with the attorney who drafted the wills of Aunt B and Uncle Ronnie, he admitted that he felt it was not required that she probate his will. This is the same attorney that drew up the wills (in response to the person who asked if this attorney had read the will). Aunt B’s will cut out CEM from any properties if they did not follow certain provisions. They did not follow those provisions and were therefore not entitled to anything from her estate. Then CEM turned to Uncle Ronnie’s will and said they wanted to probate the will, because they were still named in it. In Texas they have until four years from the date of death to probate the will. If it had taken that long to probate the will my aunt’s estate could not be settled. I am named in the will and stepped forward to probate the will so that Aunt B’s estate would not be “tied up.” This was only after the executor named had resigned. At the probate hearing the attorney for CEM said this same executor did not want to be involved, but would if he had to. Now, Uncle Ronnie’s will did leave gifts to family members on both sides of the family. It also provides for medical and burial of these persons and IFthere were any monies left CEM would get that. So, CEM wanted to probate the will and then mentioned settling with the heirs. It is not the heirs that are pushing this, they are happy with going with the will of Aunt B.
The teachings of CEM are in contradiction to what is going on now. The teachings say that you should not take your brother to court, yet CEM is insisting that two houses gifted to two of their parishioners be taken away from them and either they pay half of the value to Uncle Ronnie’s estate or the house gets sold. I would have to guess that this means they are in essence taking their brother to court. It may not go that far, but the Bible is full of euphemisms and this to me is a euphemism. Offers have been made to try to get CEM to forgive those gifts from Uncle Ronnie’s estate and they have expressed a response that will not allow this. They want all the monies possible to go into the estate.
There was an offer made to settle this sooner if CEM would agree to not merge with CGI for five years after the settlement. They refused to agree to this. I have to believe this is because they plan on making the merger, further going against what CEM was originally meant to be…independent. I cannot speak for everyone involved, I can only testify to what I know firsthand through conversation with my aunt and uncle and what I have witnessed with my own eyes.
Now, understand that CEM got the building, the bank accounts, and all of Uncle Ronnie’s intellectual properties and now they want more. The establishment of the RLDEA has the sole purpose of promoting the intellectual properties. These same properties make quite a bit of monies for the CEM ministry. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone to assume or insinuate that the RLDEA is a false entity designed to misplace monies or do anything that is illegal. There is no relative of Uncle Ronnie or Aunt B that is trying to take anything away from CEM. However, after the treatment of Aunt B, I can understand why blame needs to be deflected to someone else. Uncle Ronnie was in the process of changing his will when he passed. It was never completed, but he had intended to cut CEM out of his will too.
In conclusion, it does not matter how this is explained and what proof may be provided, people are going to believe what they want to believe and nothing will ever change this. I can say that the Dart’s would be very displeased with the course this has taken and I pray they are at peace.
