You know it’s interesting. You look at the age that we live in, and people today are building these incredible residential towers. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen an interview of Donald Trump on the 55th story of his tower…marbles, gold, silver, tapestries, paintings, beautiful woods…magnificence in a tower. So it’s not a strange concept. You go around the world. New York is now loaded with them, partly because that man wanted to build them. But all over the world now, people…and the devil counterfeits everything…I’m not calling his place devilish, but you know, the Catholics always want high places—always do. The Tower of Babel…They started to build this tower, God knocked it down—said, “You don’t do that. You don’t stick a tower up into Heaven” and sent them away babbling different languages.

And when Christ comes He’s going to destroy all the towers, because there’s going to be one tower. We’re actually going to see He calls it a “tower”—one tower on Earth that sticks way up, and in importance is at the top of all the mountains of the earth. I mean, the ultimate lofty mountain, but now we know has a city on it, and it’s a city that has to accommodate ten thousands of people, ultimately, when it’s in Jerusalem, and they’re all living in mansions that probably, we would assume, look better than the one at the 55th story of Trump Tower or those towers that are all over the world now, where people live, because people want to live up. They’re going back into cities to live higher and have grand views, because everybody…I mean, men understand that. I’m pretty sure God does. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to look out of a 1,500-mile-high city.

So God is not about to have dwellings for three-and-a-half years…condominiums…high rises…that are more beautiful than His. You know it’s been said that Donald Trump is the only man who will ever downsize into the White House. That would be true, and not just physically come down, but just the quality of where he lives is just beyond magnificent. It’s never happened before. He’s worth twenty times George Washington. Almost exactly twenty times George Washington—who was the wealthiest president in our history. So the first president was the wealthiest until probably what will be the last one, who’s worth twenty times more.

But there are people that live in these incredible dwellings. Mega millions and millions of dollars for Penthouse suites. His kids live below him in that tower. Christ is not going to be second fiddle to places like that. I’m not just pointing to him, but there’s been scores and hundreds of thousands of people. Mr. Trump’s son in law, who’s an Orthodox Jew, is thirty-five years old and his net worth is 500 million dollars. At thirty-five…he made it himself. And he lives in an unbelievable place, too, lower in the tower as I understand. So, we are…we’re going to—you’re going to—live in a tower. You’ll be able to flit right out the window, though, and that’s another discussion. You’re going to have…fewer limitations. Let’s just put it that way. 

We had no idea what we were pulling through the wall, and that both of those, together, lead into something I want to tell you about Mr. Armstrong. Because I can report something about Mr. Armstrong that no one could ever say. I’m in a unique position to describe him…report something about him that no one else ever could, and it speaks to this prophecy. He’s going to come up at the beginning and the end of the sermon, but you’ll understand why this portion of reference to him is at the beginning.

God structured Mr. Armstrong’s life so that he had no time, literally, to research all that God has shown. God built his schedule, his ministry and his life—in the many latter years of his life—that would have never permitted him to research all that God has shown. And because of his particular nature, where had he begun to see the wires that were hanging out, he would have grabbed hold of them, wrestled them to the ground in a death grip and never turn them loose until he’d figured it all out.

Here’s the problem…It takes about 25 to 30 hours of my life just on what I’m delivering you—and it’s been going on for 14 months now. He could never have stopped his life. You just have to believe that. Visiting world leaders, doing all the things he was before that—building three campuses, an enormous worldwide ministry; of course, letters and broadcasts, and all the other things. He could never have done that without literally breaking the Work. Now, there are other reasons God waited to reveal this understanding, but I wanted to take you to the literal, physical reason—and that’s if you don’t count his age, you see.

To answer the question, JUST WHAT IS THE WORK?, Herbert W. Armstrong personally wrote:  

But Christ said to His Philadelphia era Church, that because we have but little strength, He would OPEN THOSE DOORS TO US (Rev. 3:8)" (Letter 11/19/76). 

The PURPOSE for which Christ built the Church exemplifies its WORK...1) To ANNOUNCE to the world for its witness the coming Kingdom of God...2) To prepare the people to whom God adds to the Church...God has always worked with humans. He has worked with O N E  M A N at a time...The WORK consists of proclaiming the Gospel, by radio, by television, in print (Armstrong HW. JUST WHAT IS THE WORK? PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT - VOL.3, NO.6 February 6, 1981) 

Notice that Herbert Armstrong believed that God mainly worked through the leadership of one man at a time to lead various phases of the work. Scripture, shows for example, that the mantle passed from Elijah to Elisha (2 Kings 2:9-15). The 'mantle' would currently be with the person/group that truly functioned as the 'pillar and ground of truth' (1 Timothy 3:15). 

Who is the one man at this time? 

The O N E  M A N at this time is Dr. Bob Thiel who while assisting in the directions of others who are supporting him, is proclaiming Christ's Gospel of the Kingdom by radio, via YouTube "television," via Internet articles, in person, and in print as he leads the Continuing Church of God.

Bob Thiel was raised in Michigan into a Catholic family, He moved to California in 1976 and is loyal to Holy Bible and the Church of God. His first book was published in 1994. Dr. Thiel is a one of the world's foremost authorities on prophecy writings, a published Ph.D. and a highly regarded researcher with multiple research awards to his credit. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of LaVerne, a Master's degree from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. from the Union Institute and University. Throughout his academic and professional career he has studied philosophy, religion, science, and prophecy; in recent years, has had scores of articles published on these subjects in magazines, newspapers, religious publications, and scientific journals. Married to his wife Joyce since 1981, the two have made multiple trips to ancient sites around the world including Asia Minor, Mayan sites, Vatican City, Patmos, Constantinople/Istanbul, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the South Pacific.

I am passionate about trying to warn people not to follow false prophets as well as not to dismiss the value of prophecy because there are many false prophets.  I also believe that God loves everyone and that God's real plan makes sense, so I try to explain it despite my limitations.

How do you react to a bad review of your book?
  
The few "bad reviews" of my book I have read have always suggested that the bad "reviewer" really did not actually read (or at least understand) 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect.  Those who have actually read and understood it do not tend to write bad reviews.

Bob Thiel Is Still a Liar and False Prophet

Bob Thiel wants to pick on anyone and everyone in order to justify his own beliefs and vaunted ego. However, the fact is that he is a liar, he does not care for the truth, or accuracy for that matter, and he constantly compares himself to others.

It’s obvious Bob Thiel is trying to present his credentials in a positive fashion which he hopes will leave a positive impression to the reader. But “studied graduate level” is not the same as earning a degree at graduate level, also “after a lot of writing” being granted a Th. D. doesn’t exactly tell the reader where it came from. Such a presentation of credentials leaves it open to a readers imagination. It can lead a reader to believe he’s achieved an impressive Th.D. or it can lead a reader to believe it came from an online version of the old saying “Where’d you get that degree, out of a Cracker Jack box?” 

Besides nowadays when it comes to teaching ideas about prophecy, there is a tendency to be evasive and vague enough to avoid timelines. They don’t make statements about events that will absolutely occur in the readers lifetime, but maintain a dialogue that leaves an impression that they absolutely know it may happen in a person’s lifetime. A legitimate question is, would a real prophet act like that? 

Dr. Thiel continues the series of going through answering questions that were commonly posed to the old Worldwide Church of God. Using a binder that many speakers were given by that church that contained standardized letters that were sent to answer questions, Dr. Thiel answers them.  Normally, in much greater detail than the normally single or double page answers that were given in the past by the old Radio and Worldwide Church of God. Subject covered included the answering questions, the meaning of B.C., A.D., B.C.E., & C.E. (B.C. originally was intended to refer to the period before Jesus was born and A.D. afterwards, though they were off a few years–Dr. Thiel misspoke once in this sermon and accidentally stated the terms B.C. and A.D. related to Jesus death–he apologizes for that misspeaking), lifespans before Noah’s flood, Herbert W. Armstrong’s genealogy, modern descendants of the Chaldeans & Babylonians, giants, Bible commentaries, Bible concordances, pen pals, swearing an oath, Jesus’ location between age 12-30, and the two witnesses.

24 hours after it first emerged, it has been called the first global, coordinated ransomware attack using hacking tools developed by the NSA, crippling over a dozen hospitals across the UK, mass transit around Europe, car factories in France and the UK, universities in China, corporations in the US, banks in Russia and countless other mission-critical businesses and infrastructure. 

According to experts, “this could be one of the worst-ever recorded attacks of its kind.” The security researcher who tweets and blogs as MalwareTech told The Intercept, “I’ve never seen anything like this with ransomware,” and “the last worm of this degree I can remember is Conficker.” Conficker was a notorious Windows worm first spotted in 2008; it went on to infect over 9 million computers in nearly 200 countries. 

The fallout, according to cyber-specialists, has been “unprecedented”: it has left unprepared governments, companies and security experts from China to the United Kingdom on Saturday reeling, and racing to contain the damage from the audacious cyberattack that spread quickly across the globe, raising fears that people would not be able to meet ransom demands before their data are destroyed.

The election in the USA of Donald Trump in 2016, followed by various statements after he became the President of the USA has offended many Europeans and is spurring them to increase their military spending and to plan to become independent of the USA for its security. 

This European Beast power has been developing technology for at least part of its military strength and long-term economic plans (see also European Technology and the Beast of Revelation). 

Eventually, perhaps under the guise of a NATO exercise, Europe will launch a surprise attack against the USA (cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:3; Daniel 11:39). This would possibly happen after one or more trade disputes, and perhaps after the USA has been weakened by weather problems, terrorist acts (from likely Islamic sources allied with Europe, per Psalm 83:3-8), war, riots, solar flares, severe earthquakes, civil unrest, devastation of their genetically-modified food supplies, food shortages, and/or various pestilences–an intensity of “sorrows” such as Jesus discussed in Matthew 24:4-8 leading up to the time of the Great Tribulation. Disasters, especially if there is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (emp) attack or a severe solar flare storm, could be part of a so-called “perfect storm” of events that could set up the USA for destruction. 

As mentioned before, I suspect that after the Europeans and the USA and UK have some strained relations in the future, the Europeans may call for/agree to a joint military exercise, possibly under the conditions of NATO, in the USA. This would allow the Europeans to bring military aircraft, troops, and other military items to the USA, without the USA getting concerned it would soon be attacked.

The USA and Great Britain (including its Anglo-Commonwealth members, like Australia and Canada) were “great among the nations.” And the Bible is clear that betrayal is coming from national FRIENDS! Like many of those in NATO.

A ‘perfect storm’ is building. One day the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies will be no more. 

Mothering Sunday was a pagan celebration of mother and child in a spring fertility festivity associated with Easter from the most ancient times.   

Since the advent of the Roman Catholic Church this very widely honored pagan holiday of mother and child worship was adopted and renamed Mothering Sunday as a celebration for the “Virgin Mary and child”  on the fourth Sunday of Lent.

Mother’s Day was later spread in America when in 1912 Anna Jarvis trademarked the phrases “Second Sunday in May” and “Mother’s Day”, and created the Mother’s Day International Association. She specifically noted that “Mother’s” should “be a singular possessive, for each family to honor its own mother, not a plural possessive commemorating all mothers in the world.” This is also the spelling used by U.S. President Woodrow Wilson in his 1914 presidential proclamation, by the U.S. Congress in relevant bills, and by various U.S. presidents in their proclamations concerning Mother’s Day in America.  

The ancient day of honoring mother [Semiramis] and child [Nimrod] was continued by the Anglican and Catholic church’s in America, and later Anna Jarvis backed by the Methodist Church sought official recognition of a national Mother’s Day.

Honoring mothers or fathers on one day is also a distraction from honoring them at ALL times as God has commanded. Too many give a Mother’s Day gift and think their duty done for the year.  

I would suggest that we commonly give our parents tokens of our appreciation regularly throughout the year and not celebrate the pagan Mothering Day.  A good time to do so would be on our own birthday’s when our mother’s birthed us into this world.

I am not a member of the Philadelphia Church of God and in fact just heard about it. Let me then respond as a 1978 Ambassador College Pasadena graduate. In recently researching the Philadelphia Church of God and the Herbert W. Armstrong College in Edmonton I found the article on this blog site regarding the suicide of Janet De Gennaro and the obvious and understandable anger of the De Gennaro family regarding Gerald Flurry, Mr. David Privratsky and Elder Fred Dattalo.

MY COMMENTS HERE REGARDING FRED DATTALO ARE SHOWN IN PART 2 AND PART 3 FOLLOWING THESE COMMENTS

The loss of a daughter is nearly unbearable, a crippling life changing event, it is hard for most to even imagine this horror, having four daughters, I do and can, but cry even now as I write this. There is no room here to pick on or rebuff the comments of the father of Janet De Gennaro, whether their reactionary comments are accurate or not. There is only room for compassion and prayer for the De Gennaros to have the ability to recover from this tragic devastation and loss sufficiently to even go on in life.

The scriptures say that one side of the argument often seems right … until you hear the other person’s side. So apply this scripture.

I have never met nor even known of HWA Chancellor and PCG Pastor General Gerald Flurry until recently and although the comments made about him may cause pause, it is up to him to take such accusations to God, and steer his course according to what God shows him. It is a matter between Pastor General Flurry and God alone. Why condemn? When we judge, we will be judged. Does one want to retaliate, even if just verbally and in writing? Many of us, myself included, have suffered much and would wish to get even, but we learn to repent of that and grow to hold back such responses and trust more deeply in God who tells us not to return evil for evil, and not to retaliate. God says ‘vengeance is mine saith the lord … I will repay.” And He does.

I also refuse to judge Mr. David Privratsky, I do not know him either, and his sins in this if any, are also between him and God alone. Do not think for a moment that a man like that was not deeply touched with tremendous grief after his wife died. The man and woman in marriage become one, the separation by death is also horribly painful to the surviving party..

Any Pastor can throw an un-repented sinner from the church and ostracize him per the Apostle Paul’s example, as also a Chancellor could also do to a disruptive student. But even the Apostle Paul wrote later that the church should have compassion on such a one less they lose the strength to go on.

I knew HWA while a student, and as a prophetic person I wrote him a long long letter about what might be done better in administration. I delivered it personally which he accepted willingly and seemingly gratefully and acted on as able. Yet some things were never cleared up, politics and administration are challenging foes. Later the the church exploded into fragments, Ambassador College disintegrated and eventually Mr. Armstrong was called home, all as was written to him.

I knew GTA, and as Student Body Business Manager got to even ride in the cockpit of the Falcon Jet with him while taking off and piloting. I was able to deliver a letter to him that he had written to David John Hill in their early school years. I had come across that letter while cleaning out the basement storage room dubbed the ‘vault’ and the ‘safe’ in a house down the street, and although slightly embarrassing in content it brought a smile and maybe a tear. I had been assigned by Fred Stevens, my boss and HWA’s personal assistant to clean out that basement vault and to personally decide what to keep and what to destroy. Accordingly I felt deeply humbled and diligently read every document. Other than my giving a letter found to GTA, I used the other material read as a good reason to pray for positive changes.

If Mr. Flurry is in fact like Mr. HWA ,and he sure looks like him lol, even emulating him in that regard, then I imagine that his heart is full of compassion and that he took no joy in what occurred in Janet De Gennaro ’s death, or the resulting devastating effect on her family.

I do stand in judgment of Fred Dattalo, but not as you might think. Nor is my attitude and assessment toward him favorably biased because we went to Ambassador College together. In fact we worked very closely together as a team developing a time intensive large written project for one class. Since a team member, maybe actually two, were unable to help with finishing the project Fred and I pulled an all-nighter to complete it. As I reworked the wording and exhibits, Fred typed. This was before the advent of word processing, this was a manual typewriter and a very large project, it was painful. Fred worked diligently from early in the evening until early the next morning to get the job done. He would not stop for a cup of hot chocolate or coffee, and he would not stop even to use the bathroom. Fred had determined and had made a vow to himself not to stop until entirely finished. I was greatly impressed with this act, demonstrating his integrity and intent to do what was necessary to obtain a righteous goal, even while suffering to do so. Subsequently we became friends. My assessment of Fred is based solely on prayerful insight, scriptural application and a more in depth knowledge of Fred Dattalo’s inner man than most if any other readers here have had the chance to do. It might be easy to confuse such intensity and diligence with coldness or rudeness on a person’s part, but I assure you that is not the case here with Fred. It was more likely an intensity in performing an otherwise uncomfortable assignment, as we all have or will face at times in life, resulting in a communication disconnect, again as we all also likely already have or surely will encounter.

Although this may infuriate some, I hope they will pray through it and see this man differently. Fred was not a hired gun for Mr. Flurry nor a con man intent to win no matter who get’s hurt. Fred has a deep sense of integrity, an integrity that is being hurt by such public demeaning of his part in what occurred. As others surely cried over this death, you can be sure that Fred cried as much and took what happened before God in tears. That’s the way he is built. As for blindly following orders directly from Mr. Flurry that would not have been the case either. Fred having previously demonstrating his ministerial ability to Mr. Flurry in using sound reasoning and a compassionate approach in similar situations, following any necessary protocols already set by the church, would have responded with diligence, not ill intent, and would have seen it through according to those set protocols in as humane a way as possible.

Part 3 of 3 Conclusion - Fred Dattalo

Fred was not known to be a man trying to bring fame and honor upon himself, but a man that works diligently hard, harder than any man I have since met, and righteously, allowing any rising through the ranks to come as a consequence from that alone. God even says it is good to seek the office of a Bishop. And Fred, full of the Spirit and well versed in the scriptures would qualify for further service in the church. He was not an evil self willed narcissist with an agenda that intended to raise his own stature at other’s expense, especially in a case such as this. Fred, like all of us who are Christians, seeks the kingdom of God and Christ’s glory, and in that regard should be shown the respect that Christ and many other of us who know him well have for him, and his role in following Christ. He should be honored, as Paul says ‘with double honor’ and not be evil spoken against. In fact Christ warned some that they were close to committing the ‘Unpardonable Sin’ we should also seriously take note of and avoid doing that. We will as the scriptures say ‘be judged for every word that proceeds out of our mouths’. The unpardonable sin is public commentary degrading the work of the Spirit of God, and of demeaning those possessing God’s Spirit in their service. Jesus said that every sin, every trespass against Him would be forgiven, but that any sin against the Holy Spirit would not. Hopefully we all can learn from and respect this.

And perhaps then all of us, no matter how deeply hurt, can stand up and be counted as forgiving Christians, and make those changes necessary in our lives and in our churches and colleges to fully demonstrate the light of Christ that dwells in us to those around us and to the whole world who may be watching.

Your experience with Fred Dattalo is no longer the Fred that wrecks havoc in the PCG at this day and time. There are numerous horror stories about the despicable things has done and still does. Whatever acts of kindness and mercy he may have exhibited in the previous administrations is not like he is now. Flurry demands total obedience and has ripped families and marriages apart due to his vile doctrinal beliefs. If Fred is as you say he is then Fred need sot leave Flurry's cult immediately. A man of integrity would do that.

Mr. Meisner--I cannot understand how you can defend the actions of PCG officials in this matter. Who Fred Dattalo (and I never heard of him before reading this thread) was when you went to school with him has no bearing on who he has become. HWA (and Flurry after him) promote the ministry in the EXACT OPPOSITE WAY the Bible says ministers should behave. The Bible says ministers should be servants. WCG and PCG promoted them as dictators, above the membership in every way. They are programmed to believe they are superior.

This boils down to the same thing it always does in cults--The cult comes before EVERYTHING, and sadly, in this case that included an innocent young woman's life.

Mr. Robert Meiser: I attended PCG for a short period of time (3 years) I quit the church as I would not agree with the No-contact Policy.

Your comments full of mercy towards the ministers mentioned here are a sign of a truly converted man. A true christian will never ever use and run a site like this in order to speak bad about a dead person like Mr. Armstrong.

This site reflects no other thing, but anger and a contentious spirit, I find it everywhere. It is God's job to judge them and condemn them for their actions if needed.

A true christian will never act as Satan, the great accuser of the brethren, does. As Christ said about the Pharisees:"Do what they teach, not what they do". We ought to recognize that Yahweh the Eternal, used HWA to spread the true gospel, despite his personal flaws, just like he did with Moses, Jonah, kings David and Solomon, among others.

I know Satan is angry and inspires sites like these, he hates the truth about the Sabbath Day and God's plan of salvation, which is still being taught around the world, as a testimony to the nations and to preserve and nurture the small flock of those who are humble to hear the words of other faithful and loving servants I've personally known, even in the PCG and other churches of God.

Jesuschrist is coming for those who keep the commandments and keep the faith of Jesuschrist. This site is certainly not a christian site. They claim to be one that is trying to open the eyes of others caught into this "cult", yet they are breaking the biggest commandment Christ taught us: To love one another, which implies to forgive one another.

People forgive those in the body of the Messiah who did wrong to you. Move on, time is short. Christ is coming....

Annie, God did not use HWA for ANYTHING. He was a degenerate of the WORST possible kind, and the "truths" he disseminated were nothing more than other tired and non-Biblical garbage he borrowed from the Mormons and Seventh Day Adventists, and then claimed God "revealed" to him. He was a failed prophet, and the Bible itself says if someone makes prophecies and they don't come true, that person is a FALSE PROPHET. That is what HWA was, and so are all the splinter groups who are still shilling his crap. I hope your the veil is soon lifted from your eyes.

This prophecy tells us much about an end-time Elijah and some vital history of God’s Church. 

“Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months” (James 5:17). 

The epistle of James is for the end time. If you look at 1 Kings 17, you will see that the original Elijah prophesied about rain and drought—he didn’t pray for it. James is speaking about the end-time Elijah, who prayed about spiritual rain and drought. James is talking about a man who faced a different set of problems than did the original Elijah. In this verse, Herbert W. Armstrong prayed that it not rain—that there would be no revelation from God. 

“And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit” (James 5:18). 

This prophecy has been fulfilled during the Laodicean era of the Church of God.

Consider what this verse is really saying. 

Mr. Armstrong fervently prayed that the spiritual rain—the revelation of God—would stop coming into God’s Church, and that it would begin again after 3½ years. In order to pray that, he must have recognized the rebellion in the Church—probably far more than we have realized. Why else would he pray that God would cut off His revelation and guidance until He raised up a new work? 

Events prove that this prayer was answered. After Mr. Armstrong died, the Church suffered through precisely 3½ years of spiritual drought, and then we received rain.

Mr. Armstrong died on January 16, 1986. After 1,150 days, or around March 11, 1989 (probably that exact day), God began revealing to me the truths contained in the book Malachi’s Message. In God’s eyes, it was at that point that the sanctuary was cleansed.

But look again at the prophecy in James 5:17-18. 

Though the sanctuary was cleansed through God’s prophet, spiritual rain was not watering the Church immediately.

Later, the entire seven part message was sent to--I believe--every evangelist in the Worldwide Church of God both here and overseas. And, not only to them, but this message was mailed to many, if not all, of the ministers at headquarters. Additionally, many local pastors or elders in the United States (a few overseas, too) were sent this information. I have the mailing list of the ones which were contacted. Furthermore, I sent The Letter to Laodicea to hundreds of WCG members living in the United States and also to a few overseas. I have kept the complete mailing list. Finally, every regional office of The PLAIN TRUTH was sent this message. Thus, the files of the WCG are filled with the message that I delivered to it. 

When the bulk of the mailings were finished, I began to proclaim this Laodicean message to church brethren on the streets of Pasadena, beginning the Last Day of Unleavened Bread in the spring of 1988. The WCG has a photo record of every banner, every sign, that I have displayed. More than a few of "your" ideas can be found on my signs. Not only have thousands of local church brethren seen these messages but also many thousands of American and foreign members have viewed them during the Feasts of Tabernacles of 1988 and 1989. It's now been two and one-half years that every Sabbath with few exceptions I have held the Laodicean message before the church's eyes on the streets around its headquarters. 

For you to make the statement on page 67 that Dr. Hoeh "stated that the Church of God has entered into the Laodicean era" and that, having said this in the Spring of '88, this message "was quickly stopped by Church leaders" is absolutely ridiculous. Not counting the letters I sent him, I PERSONALLY delivered the Laodicean warning to him--via my ten foot banner--on a sidewalk outside the Imperial Schools. He said, "Good afternoon," as he walked on by. 

Again, much of your material plagiarizes what I have written. You will not be allowed to claim it as your own. I would advise you to settle this according to Matthew 5:25-26.

God reveals His truth to apostles and prophets (Ephesians 3:5), but that truth doesn’t rain into the Church until His man speaks to the Church. 

You can see the same pattern in Revelation 11:1. When God measures His temple, first He measures the altar—then He measures “them that worship therein.” To get His message to the people, first it must go to the altar, or the ministry, when God reveals it to His man. It takes time, then, for that truth to get beyond the altar and to reach the Church. 

As God was revealing Malachi’s Message, my children were at Ambassador College in Pasadena, California—my daughter, Laura, in her senior year; my son, Stephen, in his freshman year. That was where I felt they could get the best education on this Earth. But I became increasingly uneasy as I detected the wrong direction the leaders were taking God’s Church. Both of them were alerted to problems in the Church. I convinced Stephen to continue his education at the Ambassador campus at Big Sandy, Texas, closer to where I was in Oklahoma.

EDMOND—“So what do you think?” the minister asked when his son paused while reading the manuscript. “Well, that definitely will get you fired,” his son responded.”  It was July 1989, and the young 19-year-old was on a Y.E.S. camping trip with his father at Robbers Cave in southeastern Oklahoma during the summer break. But this turned out to be more than your everyday summer camping excursion. It became a pivotal moment in the history of God’s Church and marked Robbers Cave State Park as an important historical location for the Philadelphia Church of God.

Finally, my son read the rough draft of Malachi’s Message on Sunday, July 16, 1989—exactly 3½ years after Mr. Armstrong died! My son was positive in what he said, but he didn’t say much. I could tell he had been sobered by what he read. The sanctuary had already been cleansed, but it took a few months before that rain began to reach beyond the altar, or ministry. 

In God’s eyes, that is when the “latter rain” began (James 5:7)—with my son. At that point, the drought ended. With great relief and joy, we thanked God that He was once again revealing truth to His very elect!

For me to give Malachi’s Message to my son placed a heavy responsibility on him. I knew this was going to be a test for my son. When something like that happens, we have to make the right decision! Clearly, the way God viewed it, that was a far more significant moment than it would have appeared.

Young people, realize: My son really wrestled with that choice—as probably any unbaptized person would have. He loved college, yet here was his dad doing something that many members dismissed as rank rebellion! God made him choose—just as He makes each of us choose. It would have been so easy to turn away from God at that point and to miss all the blessings. But if we make the right choice, God can accomplish tremendous things in our lives! We must always strive to get ourselves out of the way and let God lead us.

Look what one person can achieve by choosing correctly and going wherever God leads him! 

It looks like our new dynamic leader is not the big draw he thought he would be in Manhatteen.  Could part of the reason be is that he paired up with Jonathan McNair?  Two uber-legalistic gestapo agents in the same room is not appealing to anyone, including LCG members who did not turn out to support this appearance.

Typical of a lacklustre ministry, they blamed the low turnout on something else other than their boring personalities and topic. It was those damn bikes in the city again!!!

You will notice that Weston does not list how many attended either session.  This is partly because this blog made fun of their last few failures. You continue to be a thorn in their privileged backsides.

With Mr Meredith days from dying, Weston is trying to make a name for himself and ends up failing every single time.  Members are waiting for Mr Meredith to die and when that happens you can expect people to start jumping ship into other COG's.

Last weekend Jonathan McNair and I gave a Tomorrow’s World Presentation in Manhattan, New York. The attendance was short of what we expected as there was a bike tour going on that cut off easy access to the hotel for many, including some members. Nevertheless, the afternoon session, which we billed to be for those who wanted to get further involved in this Work, went very well and we believe some will do exactly that. Mr. Rod McNair recorded a Tomorrow’s World telecast titled, “Hope for the Next Generation.” We are preparing for Living University graduation and Council of Elders meetings this coming week. Mr. Lambert Greer, Mideast United States Regional Director, is scheduled to give the sermon in Charlotte this week. Dr. Meredith continues to grow weaker and your prayers for him and for his family are appreciated at this trying time. Please remember to pray for God’s guidance upon the Council meetings coming up and for His protection for all those traveling for them.—Gerald Weston

The Value of Education: Over the years, some have concluded that getting an education is of little value to Christians. Since Satan is the god of this world, and Christians are commanded to come out of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4; 6:14-18), some have assumed that getting an education in this world is ungodly and/or a waste of time. Such ideas overlook how God has used individuals who were schooled in this world. Moses was raised as a prince in Egypt and was “learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians” (Acts 7:22). Solomon was knowledgeable in many areas (1 Kings 4:32-34), and he collected wise sayings in the book of Proverbs. Daniel was one of several intelligent young Jewish captives who were educated in Babylon “in the language and literature of the Chaldeans” before they were used by God (Daniel 1:3-4). Paul studied at the feet of Gamaliel, the leading rabbi of his day (Acts 5:34-39; 22:3), before being used by God to write 14 books in the New Testament. Numerous studies show that more education and training in a trade result in larger incomes, and this enables Christians to provide better for their families and support for the Work of the Church. Christians who understand the Truth of God and the Plan of God should take advantage of the opportunities to gain an education and marketable skills that will help them prepare to serve others now and in the Kingdom of God. This is one of the reasons why we developed Living University—to help God’s people prepare to lead and teach in Tomorrow’s World.

How many have we known along the way who dropped out of the race? What form of lentil soup were they pursuing? What difficulty was so great that they would toss in the towel and give up eternal life? Clearly, they lost the vision or never had it. Sadly, most never realized the gravity of the choice they were making. What about you? Do you recognize how the little decisions each day—whether to pray, whether to study, whether to fast, whether to give of yourself for others—all add up to whether you are choosing eternal life or lentil soup?

 Make Your Decisions with Care

The Bible reveals that the decisions we make today should be made with care, as they may carry with them long-term consequences. Esau realized too late that his birthright was of far greater value than a bowl of soup. He was tired and hungry. How could he know? Then again, how could he not know? God tells us he despised his birthright and, “afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears” (Hebrews 12:17). As we are told in Genesis 27:38, “And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.” The die was cast! Imagine what it will be like in the resurrection when he realizes, to a degree he could never understand in his lifetime, the value of that bowl of lentils: the incredible real estate later given to the sons of Joseph! 

Yet there are those who have little vision and who trade away the Kingdom of God for today’s lentil soup. Luke 9:57–62 gives three examples of men called to follow Christ, but who apparently chose to act on other priorities. While the rewards of discipleship are wonderful beyond our imagination, the immediate cost can be significant to mere humans such as you and me. This is why we are told we must “count the cost,” and why we normally review Luke 14:26 and the verses that follow prior to baptizing someone. For Jesus declared, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.” We understand that “hate” here means to “love less by comparison,” yet some have been forced to choose between a spouse and obedience to God. Others have had to make a choice that disappoints and angers their parents. And how many have lost jobs or been passed over for promotions for following God’s Truth? 

None of this should come as a surprise to those who read the scriptures, but did we ever hear a sermon on this subject in the churches that some of us once attended? I never did! And what about this passage? “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me” (Matthew 10:34–37). We should never take these words lightly or think that Jesus did not mean them!

There are several references in the New Testament describing a future day when some will weep and gnash their teeth over the poor decisions they made. They will only understand after gaining a glimpse into what they traded away. Right now, we do not know all that God has in mind for His faithful children. How can we know? We are physical, mortal beings. God is Spirit and eternal. But we can trust our Heavenly Father. And we can do as Moses, who chose “rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward” (Hebrews 11:25–26, KJV).

Russell Hilburn We were all originally called keepers of the way because we all walk the path with Messiah. Anyone who follows the the path taught by preachers of righteousness such as Enoch are walking with God. Enoch followed the path of righteousness on earth and was credited as walking with God. He was then taken in a Fiery Chariot to travel in time in near orbit. Not to the throne of God. Enoch stopped off and picked up Elijah because he needed to bum a ride to the Last Days. They will both show up together in Jerusalem with a bung wrench to open up the 55 gallon barrel of WA. May 4 at 8:44pm

We only have a very short time to finish our job and to reach the Arab tribes both the Arabs of Keturah and the Arabicised Arabs of Ishmael and of the other Shia and Hadithic Muslims in the world. We have less than Seven years and we must be finished by 2024 in order to save the lives of the one claiming to be Muslims and also those claiming to be Christians. We have much less time to save those claiming to be of the churches of God. They of the Sardis and Laodiceans will be exterminated by the end of the Witnesses and the arrival of the Messiah.

It is critical that they understand and realise that they have to correct the errors of the Armstrong offshoots and the COG (SD) and also the errors of the E. G White of the SDAs and the errors of the JWs. Never has there been a time where the churches of God and the Sabbath system been so corrupted and where Hadithic and Shia Islam has been such a poison among mankind.

The paganised Arabs when they took over Islam and the Jews when they were banished in 70 CE at the fall of the Temple destroyed their calendar, following their heresy, under the Will of God. Hillel II issued the false calendar in 358 CE. Paganised Islam destroyed their calendar at the end of the Eighth century CE 

These two anointed ones all apart of this same golden lampstand that is with mr. Herbert W Armstrong!  

Only one Church - the worldwide Church of God! 

Since Zerubabbel is listed as one of the anointed ones, mr. Armstrong fulfilling this end time type, and since God only works through one man at a time, the second anointed one must be the main of the two witnesses!

If you listen to Gerald Waterhouse's sermons you will find that the second witness only gives witness to the first Witness! The Joshua the high-priest type mentioned​ in Zechariah 3 and 4 was an assistant to mr. Armstrong! He will give witness the main Witness! He was there!

But the second Witness will need to be cleaned up first. 

But notice worldwide Church of God under Herbert W Armstrong is the spiritual Temple that Jesus Christ will return to! Before mr. Armstrong the great Mountain Babylon will be made low. So when Jesus Christ returns with his bride his church Babylon will be stopped. Need Revelation 3 and verse 9 and read how the synagogue of Satan or return to worship God at the feet of God's apostle mr. Herbert W Armstrong knowing that God loves him​. 

Not some other Church but the church that Christ raised up to Herbert W Armstrong called the worldwide Church of God! That is the only lampstand the candlestick that is here today.
And it will be the one that continues into the world tomorrow!

The way the Catholics come in…And I’ll take you in a moment to this; it will help you understand the fraud…it opens kind of like this—“if you like your doctor, you can keep him…If you like your Sabbath, you can keep it…If you like your policy, you can keep it…If you like your Holy Days, you can keep it…and the prices will go down.” I watched this system, and brethren, I want to say something that I hope, I hope shocks you. I watched this system. I have actually already…I am the only man on Earth, who, by himself, already went up against this system. That’s why I wrote There Came a Falling Away.

I know what they would have done to me if they could. They would have killed me, but they threw me out—marked me all over the world. It’s the same system—people who came in God’s Name—who, eventually many other people realized weren’t of God at all. But I went up against it, and I dealt with it. I called leaders—by myself. That’s why I was the first man fired. And I saw how they would come in and “bait and switch.” “We’re not going to get rid of the Law, Sabbath and Holy Days.” I kept saying, “Yes they are!”

I even escaped before it really got bad, you know? And helped a lot of other people escape. So in a way, and I’m not trying to brag, I was just…all I was…I used to tell people, “Don’t make me a villain or a hero. I’m neither one. I’m just a guy who signed a contract in the blood of Jesus Christ, and I’m not going to break it. If a lot of people are with me…great! If it’s only a few…not great, but that’s okay. I don’t care. I didn’t sign on for whether there were a lot or a few.” And I said that over and over and over and over and over and over again. I’m not a hero and I’m not a villain. I’m just a guy who’s going to keep his word, since it was signed in my Savior’s blood. You think the same way but I just want you to know—been there and done that.

So you might ask…It might be inspiring to you…You’ll know a little bit more about me…if I’ve waded into the first perilous—dangerous—furious time—by myself…do you think I won’t do it the next time? Don’t kid yourself. That’s why I wrote all the books about how to get out. I was assassinated…Believe me, they would have killed me, if they could. You’ve got to understand the system. There’s nothing new under the sun.

So…I went up against the system and escaped. So I hope, in a way, that inspires you. I’m not trying to go…hey, pat me on the back here. I’m going to show you how all of you…what escape looks like…when all of you, individually, know that you did. I’m going to tell you exactly what happens. That’s next week. But I thought you might find it encouraging that I…It could be said, I know whereof I speak.

You know, you better understand why, when we’re going to wade in…Can I just tell you, brethren. I’ve been trained to do it. That’s why God raised up a shepherd. Mr. Armstrong’s background was a little different. I’m a shepherd…I’d still love to be one. I love my calling. And believe me, I wasn’t complaining earlier about my difficult schedule. I get up every Sabbath morning, and I’m almost like a kid in a candy shop. I can’t wait to distribute this marvelous knowledge, so everybody else can know what God is showing me, and we can all know it together. Oh, I love it! So there’s no complaint there. But I do hope you’ll understand—I’m trained for this. I led the way alone the last time.
